There are seven principle components
in a Level One program:

1. Kundalini Yoga Basics

Delve into the theory and practice of Kundalini Yoga kriyas (yoga sets), asanas, and mudras. Explore the nature of the mind and its training through Kundalini Yoga meditations, mantras, and pranayam (breathing techniques).

2. History and Philosophy of Yoga

Learn about the history and tradition of Kundalini Yoga, as well as the underlying philosophy behind all yogic practices. 

3. Mind and Meditation

Learn about how the mind operates and the powerful tool that is meditation. During the Level One program you will dive deep into the various yogic concepts of the mind and experience the powerful tool that is meditation. 

4. Becoming a Teacher

Gain the skills and techniques to become an effective instructor, including practical strategies for teaching beginners, ethical guidelines, curriculum development, and the transformational role of the teacher in developing a successful yoga practice.

5. Humanology — Becoming a yogi

Explore the technologies of Kundalini Yoga as they apply to healing and humanology (the science of daily living), including diet, nutrition, and relationships.

6. Yogi and Functional Anatomy

Gain an understanding of traditional Western anatomy, its purpose and function, including the respiratory, nervous, immune, musculoskeletal, circulatory, endocrine, and digestive systems and their relation to the practice and teaching of yoga. You will also explore Yogic anatomy and the energy systems of the body including the chakras, nadis, pranas and vayus, and the ten yogic bodies.

7. Sound and Mantra

Gain understanding of the impact that sound and mantra can have in your yoga practice. In the Level One Teacher Training course you will explore how sound and mantra affect the physique and your state of being and understand how vital this tool is to a Kundalini Yogi.
