Ahhhh! Yes, this is a sigh of release and it is the sound of my joyous arrival into any vibrant space where the Kundalini Yoga community gathers worldwide.
In my first post I introduced my wanderlust for travel and adventure, a pursuit that has been woven into a lifestyle. There’s something fascinating about traversing the world and witnessing its transformation unfold before your eyes. Take Spain, for instance – my beloved home for over a decade – where the demographics, cultural habits, culinary trends, prices and even the weather have changed considerably. Each year seems to usher in changes at an increasingly rapid pace, painting a fresh canvas of experiences and insights.
You can really see the changes during times apart, similar to noticing how a niece or nephew has grown when you only see them every few months. Their growth is much more obvious than if you were around them all the time.
Nevertheless, being on the road constantly and keeping up with a world that evolves so quickly, is challenging and sometimes difficult for my nervous system to handle.
But returning to that blissfull…ahhhh! This sigh of release is a cherished part of my travels, one that fills me with immense gratitude. No matter where I land, there’s invariably a space that offers the teachings of Kundalini Yoga—a community, a class, or even better a festival—where I can let go and truly feel at home.
This past month, I was fortunate enough to embark on a road trip from Spain to the European Yoga Festival in France, a gathering of around 1,000 yogis united for over a week in a celebration of yoga, chanting, meditation, nourishing meals, seva, sadhana, Gurdwara, and the transformative experience of White Tantra Yoga. More than just an event, it felt like a heartfelt reunion of family. Camping in the embrace of the forest, I found solace in the gentle rustling of leaves overhead, harmonizing with the distant mantra chanting that resonated from the early morning Amrit Vela until sundown. This sacred space allowed me to walk, eat, meditate, dance, and bask in joy in community—a true reset that fortifies my spirit for months to come.
Reflecting on the festival, I’m filled with gratitude for several unforgettable experiences:
-
- La Sopa – Our seva group, a delightful assembly of soup servers from the Spanish-speaking community, brimming with laughter, energy, and joy. Each morning began with a vibrant song and choreography that infused the day with positivity.
- 3 days of White Tantra – One day as a monitor, standing strong for 62 minutes, I found a profound reset in my posture. The subsequent two days were spent with inspiring partners who taught me invaluable lessons along the way.
- Unexpected reunions – The unexpected meeting with Taj Harjot Kaur from Bali Immersion 2023, where we rekindled our connection and shared deeply resonant moments. My first Tantra partner appearing just when I needed her most, and so many other beautiful encounters.
- Sat Nam Rasayan Healing – Another reset with a lot of insight.
Looking ahead, I am filled with excitement for the months to come:
-
- September in Madrid – Welcoming my parents for a visit, immersing myself in local Kundalini classes, exploring weekend getaways, and indulging in the rich cultural offerings of museums and theaters.
- Bali Immersion – Gathering with an amazing training team, but mostly establishing new relationships with a group of soon to be Kundalini Yoga Teachers that will foster the expansion of our community.
- India Yatra & Mind and Meditation Level 2 – Venturing into the heart of Punjab alongside a diverse array of teachers from all corners of the globe, many of whom I cherish from Level 1 or previous Level 2 experiences.
- Ahhhh! Releasing in community while I keep seeing the world!
If you’re yearning for an adventure, don’t hesitate to reach out! Let’s connect and cross paths, or join one of our transformative trainings and carve out your own space to release and revel in the joy of being enveloped by like-minded souls.
Love and Light,
