From Me to You
The purpose of Kundalini Yoga is to transform ourselves. I am so grateful for these practices, as I personally and KRI as an organization have certainly gone through a lot of transformation in the last year!
Sometimes life will force us to transform – possibly with the death of a loved one, or the unexpected loss of a job. Other times we push for our own transformation, usually to get away from some painful or challenging circumstances. Either way, change is difficult. We as humans tend to not like change. Luckily, practicing Kundalini Yoga makes it easier for us to gracefully flow and adapt!
Regular practice of Kundalini Yoga can reduce the fear of change, or at least help you consciously deal with that fear! When you feel connected to your highest purpose and your true Self, which regularly practicing Kundalini Yoga can give you, you have these as solid anchors to make the other changes in your life seem less overwhelming.
Modern science is lining up with yogic teachings about transformation – with several studies showing that significant changes (in both behaviors and in brain structure) can occur in 8 weeks of yoga and meditation practice – adding evidence to the yogic teaching about starting a personal transformation with a daily 40-day practice. You don’t change just by reading something, you have to practice it, you have to give yourself an embodied experience in order to get the benefits. Watching videos about yoga won’t uplift you – you have to get on your mat and do it! But regularly “doing it” will give you benefits!
One way KRI is transforming is that we are launching a new approach to our “meditation of the month” segment – instituting a series of 40 day meditation experiences. Therefore I invite you to join us in our first 40 day meditation experience together, to transform both inside and outside for peace.
Another great way to build your resiliency and capacity to transform is to participate in the various Level Two teacher training modules. You can check out this directory of all the global trainings to find one near you, or consider taking KRI’s online Conscious Communication module.
One more way that KRI is focusing on Transformation this month is by offering a special online workshop on July 11th about Death and Dying, with the author of book “Dying into Life,” Jivan Joti Kaur.
Have a great month!
