Historia de KRI

Desde el principio, el Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) se ha propuesto hacer que el Kundalini Yoga sea accesible para tantas personas como sea posible en todo el mundo. Creemos en la alegría de la comunidad y el poder transformador de nuestras enseñanzas para generar un cambio positivo en nosotros mismos y en nuestro mundo. Lo hemos logrado a través de:

  • La creación de Programas de Formación Docente
  • Desarrollo y formación de formadores de profesores increíbles en más de 60 países
  • Edición de libros y manuales.
  • Poner a disposición artículos de investigación sobre los efectos biomédicos de Kundalini Yoga y la meditación.

Pero lo más sorprendente de KRI es que todos nuestros logros y expansiones han sido liderados por personas que se dedican al servicio desinteresado y al mejoramiento de las personas y las comunidades en todo el mundo a través de esta práctica. KRI es verdaderamente la manifestación de las oraciones y los esfuerzos de la comunidad.

Durante décadas, nuestras prácticas espirituales y de yoga han enriquecido y guiado la vida de innumerables personas en todo el mundo. Estas enseñanzas yóguicas y espirituales, que están siendo practicadas por cientos de miles de personas en ashrams, escuelas, universidades, hospitales, estudios y hogares en más de 100 países alrededor del mundo, han sido compartidas por miles de líderes espirituales, investigadores y certificados. entrenadores y profesores de yoga.

Este año celebramos 50 años de esta labor de amor. Queremos reconocer nuestra historia, nuestros triunfos y los desafíos que hemos enfrentado.

Más que nunca, las personas de todo el mundo buscan el bienestar físico, mental, emocional y espiritual. La meditación está demostrando ser una herramienta mundial para la salud y el bienestar en general. Los maestros y materiales certificados por el Instituto de Investigación Kundalini son una forma eficiente de acercar la meditación y el yoga a muchas personas. Como KRI, estamos comprometidos a fomentar una comunidad inclusiva, decidida y duradera que permitirá a las futuras generaciones de líderes espirituales, profesores y formadores de yoga y voluntarios seguir compartiendo con el mundo la experiencia edificante del Kundalini Yoga y la meditación.

Somos más fuertes en comunidad. Todos podemos crear un futuro más brillante mediante el uso de estas prácticas para ser más conscientes de nosotros mismos, nuestro impacto en las personas que nos rodean y nuestra profunda interconexión con la Madre Tierra y toda la vida en ella. Nada de esta historia podría haber sucedido sin la dedicación y el arduo trabajo de innumerables voluntarios. La mayor parte del desarrollo de los programas de capacitación docente de KRI fue realizado por comités de voluntarios motivados por un profundo deseo de compartir estas enseñanzas con tantas personas como sea posible. Esta misma pasión e impulso por compartir estas impactantes técnicas de yoga y meditación son la base de todo lo que hace KRI. KRI no es una organización, es una comunidad de miles de personas en todo el mundo.

Kriyas were written up in a magazine titled “Beads of Truth”. The first publication came out in 1971 and the last edition was published in Summer of 1991.

KRI began publishing the Journal of Science and Consciousness

The first installments of this magazine appeared in 1972 – 1973.  Volumes 4 & 5 (a combined issue) of this Journal became the core of the classic yoga manual Kundalini Yoga: Sadhana Guidelines.

Teacher Training programs began to spread and be taught by more trainers.

By the early 1990s, demand for Yogi Bhajan’s teachings grew exponentially. Teacher Training programs began to be taught around the world, but were not standardized. Thus a need to unify all Teacher Training programs into a single, global school arose.

Yogi Bhajan declaration that there should be a single standardized International Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training that should “stand up in a court of law”. And he outlined, very roughly, the three levels of instructor, practitioner, and teacher.

Teacher Training Manual published by 3HO Germany in German

Satya Singh from Hamburg compiled/authored the manual. This became one of the reference books used to compile KRI’s first Aquarian Teacher textbook.

Sat Kirpal Kaur becomes CEO of KRI

Dr Sat Kirpal Kaur was the CEO of KRI focusing on reviewing the teachings of Yogi Bhajan. She also was the Managing editor of the Khalsa Women’s Training manuals that were produced after each camp in Espanola, NM.

1992
First teacher training advisory board founded

In 1992 the initial IKYTA teacher training advisory board was formed with a global team of trainers.
