Histoire de KRI
Depuis le début, le Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) a entrepris de rendre le Kundalini Yoga aussi accessible au plus grand nombre de personnes possible dans le monde. Nous croyons en la joie de la communauté et au pouvoir de transformation de nos enseignements pour apporter des changements positifs à nous-mêmes et à notre monde. Nous y sommes parvenus grâce à :
- La création de programmes de formation des enseignants
- Développer et former d’incroyables formateurs d’enseignants dans plus de 60 pays
- Publication de livres et de manuels
- Mise à disposition de documents de recherche sur les effets biomédicaux du Kundalini Yoga et de la méditation
Mais la chose la plus étonnante à propos de KRI est que toutes nos réalisations et expansions ont été dirigées par des personnes qui se consacrent au service désintéressé et à l’amélioration des individus et des communautés du monde entier grâce à cette pratique. KRI est vraiment la manifestation des prières et des efforts de la communauté.
Pendant des décennies, nos pratiques de yoga et spirituelles ont enrichi et guidé la vie d’innombrables personnes dans le monde entier. Ces enseignements yogiques et spirituels, qui sont pratiqués par des centaines de milliers de personnes dans des ashrams, des écoles, des universités, des hôpitaux, des studios et des maisons dans plus de 100 pays à travers le monde, ont été partagés par des milliers de chefs spirituels, de chercheurs et certifiés. formateurs et professeurs de yoga.
Cette année, nous célébrons les 50 ans de ce travail d’amour. Nous voulons reconnaître notre histoire, nos triomphes et les défis auxquels nous avons été confrontés.
Plus que jamais, les gens du monde entier recherchent le bien-être physique, mental, émotionnel et spirituel. La méditation se révèle être un outil mondial pour la santé et le bien-être en général. Les enseignants et le matériel certifiés du Kundalini Research Institute sont un moyen efficace d’apporter la méditation et le yoga à de nombreuses personnes. En tant que KRI, nous nous engageons à favoriser une communauté inclusive, déterminée et durable qui permettra aux futures générations de leaders spirituels, de professeurs et d’entraîneurs de yoga et de bénévoles de continuer à partager avec le monde l’expérience édifiante du Kundalini Yoga et de la méditation.
Nous sommes plus forts en communauté. Nous pouvons tous créer un avenir meilleur en utilisant ces pratiques pour devenir plus conscients de nous-mêmes, de notre impact sur les gens qui nous entourent et de notre interconnexion profonde avec la Terre Mère et toute vie qui s’y trouve. Cela nous aide à mieux « nous montrer » dans nos familles, nos lieux de travail et nos communautés. Nos actions – notre impact positif sur les individus et les communautés – nous définissent.

Rien de cette histoire n’aurait pu se produire sans le dévouement et le travail acharné d’innombrables bénévoles. La plupart du développement des programmes de formation des enseignants de KRI a été fait par des comités de bénévoles motivés par un profond désir de partager ces enseignements avec autant de personnes que possible. Cette même passion et cette même volonté de partager ces techniques de yoga et de méditation percutantes sous-tendent tout ce que KRI fait. KRI n’est pas une organisation – c’est une communauté de milliers de personnes à travers le monde.

The first 3HO Summer Solstice celebration was held at the Aspen Valley north of Espanola near Pilar – at the Hog Farm.
Yogi Bhajan began teaching White Tantric Yoga in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
Kriyas were written up in a magazine titled “Beads of Truth”. The first publication came out in 1971 and the last edition was published in Summer of 1991.
The first installments of this magazine appeared in 1972 - 1973. Volumes 4 & 5 (a combined issue) of this Journal became the core of the classic yoga manual Kundalini Yoga: Sadhana Guidelines.

By the early 1990s, demand for Yogi Bhajan's teachings grew exponentially. Teacher Training programs began to be taught around the world, but were not standardized. Thus a need to unify all Teacher Training programs into a single, global school arose.
First White Tantric Yoga® course done with video.
Yogi Bhajan declaration that there should be a single standardized International Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training that should “stand up in a court of law”. And he outlined, very roughly, the three levels of instructor, practitioner, and teacher.
Satya Singh from Hamburg compiled/authored the manual. This became one of the reference books used to compile KRI’s first Aquarian Teacher textbook.
Dr Sat Kirpal Kaur was the CEO of KRI focusing on reviewing the teachings of Yogi Bhajan. She also was the Managing editor of the Khalsa Women's Training manuals that were produced after each camp in Espanola, NM.
In 1992 the initial IKYTA teacher training advisory board was formed with a global team of trainers.
