Storia del KRI
Fin dall’inizio, il Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) ha deciso di rendere il Kundalini Yoga il più accessibile a quante più persone possibile in tutto il mondo. Crediamo nella gioia della comunità e nel potere di trasformazione dei nostri insegnamenti per portare un cambiamento positivo a noi stessi e al nostro mondo. Abbiamo raggiunto questo obiettivo attraverso:
- La creazione di programmi di formazione per insegnanti
- Sviluppare e formare fantastici Teacher Trainer in oltre 60 paesi
- Pubblicazione di libri e manuali
- Mettere a disposizione documenti di ricerca sugli effetti biomedici del Kundalini Yoga e della meditazione
Ma la cosa più sorprendente del KRI è che tutti i nostri successi ed espansioni sono stati guidati da persone che si dedicano al servizio disinteressato e al miglioramento degli individui e delle comunità in tutto il mondo attraverso questa pratica. Il KRI è veramente la manifestazione delle preghiere e degli sforzi della comunità.
Per decenni, le nostre pratiche yoga e spirituali hanno arricchito e guidato la vita di innumerevoli persone in tutto il mondo. Questi insegnamenti yogici e spirituali, che vengono praticati da centinaia di migliaia di persone in ashram, scuole, università, ospedali, studi e case in più di 100 paesi in tutto il mondo, sono stati condivisi da migliaia di leader spirituali, ricercatori e certificati istruttori e insegnanti di yoga.
Quest’anno celebriamo i 50 anni di questo lavoro d’amore. Vogliamo riconoscere la nostra storia, i nostri trionfi e le sfide che abbiamo affrontato.
Più che mai, le persone in tutto il mondo cercano il benessere: fisico, mentale, emotivo e spirituale. La meditazione si sta rivelando uno strumento mondiale per la salute e il benessere generale. Gli insegnanti e i materiali certificati del Kundalini Research Institute sono un modo efficiente per portare meditazione e yoga a molte persone. Come KRI, ci impegniamo a promuovere una comunità inclusiva, propositiva e duratura che consentirà alle future generazioni di leader spirituali, insegnanti e formatori di yoga e volontari di continuare a condividere con il mondo l’esperienza edificante del Kundalini Yoga e della meditazione.
Siamo più forti nella comunità. Tutti possiamo creare un futuro più luminoso usando queste pratiche per diventare più consapevoli di noi stessi, del nostro impatto sulle persone che ci circondano e della nostra profonda interconnessione con Madre Terra e tutta la vita su di essa. Questo a sua volta ci aiuta a “presentarsi” meglio nelle nostre famiglie, nei luoghi di lavoro e nelle comunità. Le nostre azioni, il nostro impatto positivo sugli individui e sulle comunità, ci definiscono.
Ti invitiamo a saperne di più sui nostri risultati leggendo la nostra cronologia qui sotto. Ti invitiamo anche a far parte della nostra comunità. Nessuna di questa storia sarebbe potuta accadere senza la dedizione e il duro lavoro di innumerevoli volontari. La maggior parte dello sviluppo dei programmi di formazione degli insegnanti del KRI è stato svolto da comitati di volontari motivati dal profondo desiderio di condividere questi insegnamenti con quante più persone possibile. Questa stessa passione e spinta a condividere queste tecniche di yoga e meditazione di grande impatto sono alla base di tutto ciò che fa KRI. KRI non è un’organizzazione: è una comunità di migliaia di persone in tutto il mondo.

The first 3HO Summer Solstice celebration was held at the Aspen Valley north of Espanola near Pilar – at the Hog Farm.
Yogi Bhajan began teaching White Tantric Yoga in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
Kriyas were written up in a magazine titled “Beads of Truth”. The first publication came out in 1971 and the last edition was published in Summer of 1991.
The first installments of this magazine appeared in 1972 – 1973. Volumes 4 & 5 (a combined issue) of this Journal became the core of the classic yoga manual Kundalini Yoga: Sadhana Guidelines.

By the early 1990s, demand for Yogi Bhajan’s teachings grew exponentially. Teacher Training programs began to be taught around the world, but were not standardized. Thus a need to unify all Teacher Training programs into a single, global school arose.
First White Tantric Yoga® course done with video.
Yogi Bhajan declaration that there should be a single standardized International Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training that should “stand up in a court of law”. And he outlined, very roughly, the three levels of instructor, practitioner, and teacher.
Satya Singh from Hamburg compiled/authored the manual. This became one of the reference books used to compile KRI’s first Aquarian Teacher textbook.
Dr Sat Kirpal Kaur was the CEO of KRI focusing on reviewing the teachings of Yogi Bhajan. She also was the Managing editor of the Khalsa Women’s Training manuals that were produced after each camp in Espanola, NM.
In 1992 the initial IKYTA teacher training advisory board was formed with a global team of trainers.
