As I sit down to write, I can’t help but wonder what I’ve embarked upon. I’m not truly a writer, and just today, while nestled in a cozy coffee shop in Madrid with a lifelong friend taking her first steps into the world of yoga and full of questions about this practice, I was confessing how terrible I am at writing and public speaking.

Yet, since my first Kundalini Yoga class, I’ve been breaking through my self-imposed limitations, again and again. And now, here I am, penning the inaugural entry of our new odyssey, “Wanderlust & Kundalini: Exploring Inner and Outer Worlds.”

Traveling and yoga have always been my twin passions, for they allow me to connect deeply within and expansively without. When I’m not on the road, a good book keeps my horizons wide and my sense of exploration alive.

For the next four months, I will be a wanderer, sharing my journey with you through these reflections of a yogini embracing the nomadic life. With little planned and simply letting the road unfold before me, I eagerly anticipate where this path will lead.

Spain, France, Bali, and India are already whispered destinations in this unfolding journey. The lingering question is: What’s the next step? I’ll share more in the coming days, but for now, I wish to speak of KRI’s newest offering, “The Next Step: Flourish Into Resilience and Peace,” which I am delighted to be part of.

This new online course invites anyone yearning to dive deep into meditation and unravel the connection between their inner and outer worlds. Crafted by Shama Kaur, an Egyptian trainer residing in Sydney, Australia, the course will guide us through various realms of human existence:

  • The Self: Begin your journey by exploring your inner world. Understand how external pressures impact your internal balance and learn to overcome limiting beliefs. This day focuses on self-awareness and personal growth, helping you unlock your true potential and cultivate resilience.
  • Family: Navigate the dynamics of family life, from shared responsibilities to personal sacrifices. Discover strategies to balance your individual needs with family obligations, maintain harmony, and express your true self within the family unit.
  • Intimacy: Deepen your connections by exploring the nuances of intimacy. Learn to balance closeness and distance, embrace vulnerability and overcome barriers to emotional connection. This day helps you foster meaningful and healthy relationships.
  • Work: Transform your professional life by aligning your work with your personal values and aspirations. Gain tools to overcome professional stagnation, navigate interpersonal dynamics, and express your innate talents and purpose through the work that you do.
  • Me and the World: Understand the interconnectedness of personal, social and global influences. Learn to navigate the influx of information in the digital age, engage consciously with the world around you, and make meaningful contributions to your community and beyond.
  • Universal Consciousness: Connect with the universal force, the Infinite which lives within you and in all that is. Learn to live a balanced and connected life by incorporating yogic principles, surrendering the ego, and trusting in a greater force for guidance and support.

So, if your spirit is adventurous like mine but you cannot physically journey, this course offers a beautiful way to explore the inner and outer realms of the Self.

Embodying these teachings, I will keep walking, one step at a time.
